Ryder Cup European Team

The European Ryder Cup Team for 2012 has yet to be announced but in 2010 it was as follows:

European golf is on a real high in recent years, with the likes of Lee Westwood, Rory McIlroy and Justin Rose all winning in the US, plus Ian Poulter winning the WGC Matchplay and Graeme McDowell winning the US Open at Pebble Beach. Martin Kaymer was also a winner of the final major championship of the year, the PGA Championship at Whistling Straits.

Ryder Cup Qualification

Here is a list of the final qualification standings for the European Ryder Cup team. The qualification was split into two lists as so many of Europe's golfers split their season between the US and Europe.

The Ryder Cup World Points List is comprised of world ranking points won by a European Tour member from each tournament between September 2011 and August 2012. These World Points are taken from any official sanctioned tournaments by the World Golf ranking and the top four on that list will automatically qualify.

Ryder Cup European Points List

The points lost will be updated nearer to the start of the 2012 tournament.....

The top five finishers in the Ryder Cup Points List also secure an automatic place in the 2012 European Ryder Cup team. If one of the top five has already qualified from the World Points List then the next player down qualifies. The European Points List comprises of the players earnings between the 3rd September 2009 and the 29th August 2010, with each euro the players earn equating to one point.
